HART TEAM SUPPORTS FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICE AT FATAL FIRE

Two people have died after a fire in Perry Barr, Birmingham.
Police, fire and ambulance services were called to the scene at 4.35am on Thursday 03 December.
An incident support officer, an ambulance, a rapid response vehicle and the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) were sent to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “HART team members were put on standby in their breathing apparatus while firefighters went into the property. Unfortunately, the bodies of two people were discovered inside the building.
“A man in his 20s who had been alerted to the fire and tried to get into the building was treated for minor burns by ambulance staff. He was not injured and did not require hospital treatment.”
